Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, born on March 26, 1991 and professionally referred to under the other name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The first single, Pho on October 21 2016, was released on Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn fame. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It came out on May 19, 2019. Ari Lennox first posted music online in 2012. Her debut album Ariography as well as her debut mixtape in 2013 with five Finger Discount. She continued to upload her tracks online through 2014 and released her own single Bound. She was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as from Sweat It Out, on July 21, 2015. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew at that time was interested in having her perform on Rihanna references. On December 8 it was revealed that she had officially signed by Dreamville Records. Backseat is a track that she recorded with Cozz on The Revenge of the Dreamers II collaborative album. On October 21 2016 she released her debut EP called Pho. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performance on behalf of J. Cole on his song Change in 2017 and also performed on 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. In 2018, she went on to appear on two of her songs along with label-mates EarthGang in Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th July, 2018, released her first single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video for it came out on the 5th. She released her second single Grampa on November 9. In November 2013 she released No One and Pedigree. She was featured with Cole on The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby the 16th of November 16, and then she released the song in a solo version on her first album. It was released with a music video that was released on February 20, 2019 and surpassed 3 million views on YouTube within its first seven days. The singer was a part of the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour back in December of 2018.
